Las Vegas Wedding Pros & Cons Part 2
Welcome to part 2 of my article on the pros and cons of a Las Vegas wedding. I hope you’ve read my previous article, in which case you know what this is all about… so I’ll get started right away:
One of the pros to a Las Vegas wedding is how convenient the whole system is. Las Vegas caters for hundreds of thousands of wedding a year, and as such, they have it running like clockwork.
If you stay in a Vegas hotel, chances are they have their own chapel. And if they have their own chapel, they probably also have a wedding co-ordinator who can quickly arrange everything you need for your wedding. You can even book a wedding online. Thi has to make Las Vegas the king of convenience when it comes to getting married to your partner.
One of the cons to getting married in Vegas, is that it’s much harder to bring your friends and family (unless they live in Vegas, of course). It can be a lot of travelling, and a lot of expense to bring your family there… and you may experience some resistance from them, if they’ve always wanted you to have a traditional wedding. There’s no getting away from the tacky image that Las Vegas weddings have developed for themselves.
But to counter this, I have another pro. And here it is:
Las Vegas weddings are always great fun. Where else can you have Elvis walk you down the aisle? Or where else can you start your honeymoon early? Where better than the glitz and glamour of Las Vegas? There’s plenty of entertainment in Las Vegas, which means you’ll always have ideas for what to do at the wedding reception.
On the topic of wedding receptions, something you need to know is that very few chapels in Las Vegas also cater for receptions. Usually, this is something you have to arrange separately. Of course, if you shop around, you should be able to find a chapel that also caters for receptions. Or at the very least, you could ask your wedding co-ordinator for suggestions of where to have the reception.
I hope this final part of my article will help you to decide if a Las Vegas wedding is the right thing for you and your partner to do. It’s certainly not for everyone, but for the people who can get to grip with it, you can have a lot of fun. . It truly can be one of the most fun and exciting parts of your life… just like a wedding is meant to be.
